This story is rather interesting so I feel ever so enticed to tell it to you all.
It all starts on Friday evening when i started getting phone calls that my flight to Austin was canceled. So i would rebook and then get another call that the flight was canceled due to weather. Yet, I was on the ground in Manhattan and the weather was great! This raised a red flag though as I knew nasty weather was on the way.

11am came and the ground was covered in snow and it didn’t let up. 650+  flight were canceled in the NYC area and for some reason I was booked on a random 2pm flight to  L.A. and it never canceled. I missed my Austin connection at LAX because of the plane de-icing. Ended up walking down the street in Venice and running into the Toms shoes Staff party and seeing many friends I hadn’t seen since the South Africa Shoe drop the year before. I declared it as a Christmas Miracle, because there was no way I could have ever planed my night that way.

If your in L.A stop by the Toms Pop up Store in Venice and buy some new

Toms and check out some of my images from South Africa on the walls in the gallery.

I had an absolutely amazing time at the Charity Ball Monday night in New York City. The display was incredible and I was blown away again at the size of the prints. Scott and the Charity team pull off the impossible and this year it blew everybody out of the water.. or rather into the wate

I am so thankful to be a part of them and to serve them with the gifts i’ve been given. I have never met more hard working people in my life to have such a purpose to change this world we live in for the better. Here are some images I took on Monday to give you a taste of what it was like, but if you want to know, you are just going to have to come next year :-) visit : http://www.charitywater.org/charityball to view more images.

Tomorrow i’m headed to New York City for the Charity Ball at the Metropolitan Pavaillion. I do believe there are still tickets available if you decide last minute you want to purchase a $250 ticket… it will be well worth you money especially since charity: water gives away 100% of the public’s donations to build wells.

- so i’m in the middle of nowhere in Sierra Leone and I meet this woman in a village and I was kinda just stunned for a moment at seeing her shirt. For those who have seen blood diamond will understand what i’m talking about.

She walks to this nearby river many times a day to get contaminated water for her family. She paused on her walk to let me photograph her. In this village, it was an exciting thing to get your photograph taken. She was all smiles as the children around watched her pose for me and look into the light.
