Last weekend, I had the opportunity to speak to photojournalists and students from all over the country. I began going to this gathering called Southwestern Photojournalism Conference, 7 years ago in Ft. Worth, Texas. You can imagine how incredibly honored I felt to be asked speak and share my story. I met so many amazing photographers including a woman by the name of Melanie Blanding, who I found years ago on lightstalkers and was continually in awe of her imagery.
