Finally, some updates. I went to Israel with my sister and her family in late July/early August. It was the most lovely trip. We stayed in the city of Ashkelon and traveled all over by car everday. I got my feet wet with driving in a foreign country when I was in Iraq and I was completely confident that I could drive the Israeli roads….but I must say.. never have I seen such crazy drivers in my life! I think i said the word CRAZY about every 3 seconds as I drove around. My favorite moment was driving the highway into the old city of Jerusalem… and just realizing that I was “driving into Jerusalem”. My oldest sister, Jennifer, use to live in Israel as an archelogist and had many excavations she dug on. One of her favorites was in Megiddo ( also known as Armageddon). It was so cool to see the sites that she dug up and she has a history lesson to teach me at each one. I can’t wait to go back again … one of these days. It was definitely one of my favorite places in the entire world.

I’ve been following your blog for awhile now. Not only are your pictures of Israel awesome, but to get to experience it with someone who knows their way around must have been great.
